for a few moments at the altar. He hopes she would stay long enough at least for their wedding?

Lois: Oh, come on. It's not that bad.

Are you sure you quoted the dialog correctly? The first line indicates that Lois is the one complaining about Clark but the later lines seem to indicate that Clark is complaining about Lois.

Well, basicaly they argue they both haven't been home lately.
