Hi everybody!

This is from Yahoo! answers. Girls are talking about nail care and one of them says: OPI is a great nail polish, but the best thing they have is a nail strengthener. Apply it twice a day until your nails are naturally strong. I used to have terrible nails and now they are the perfect nails for a dash of bright red.

I wonder what her phrase "for a dash of bright red" means.

It's hard to guess. Maybe she thinks that red nail polish only looks good on long nails - and now that her nails are stronger they grow longer and can have red polish on them without looking silly. (She's right, I guess.

It's hard to guess. Maybe she thinks that red nail polish only looks good on long nails - and now that her nails are stronger they grow longer and can have red polish on them without looking silly.

(She's right, I guess. Bright red polish does look odd on very short nails.)
