Foolishly

Hello,

1. I foolishly left my purse......

2. I left my purse foolishly......

I have used "foolishly" as an adverb in the above sentences , which is correct?

I too, would choose sentence 1.
It is what I did that was foolish, ie "I foolishly left..." It was the act of leaving that was foolish.
Sentence 2, means the purse was left in a foolish way, like inside out or some other silly way. which is not what I think is meant.
