Food

Thanks for correcting my task 2 writing.

In many countries, more and more people choose to buy imported food rather than food produced locally. Why is this the case and what could be done to encourage people to buy local food?

In this day and age, exotic food has by far captured people’s interest compared to domestic food. This phenomenon has caused some negative effects on the country itself , however, a few resolutions have been proposed for it.

There are two primary reasons as to why local people have a special preference for imported goods. Firstly, the developed nations that are able to apply high techniques to the manufacture of food could produce way better products. Not only is the food from abroad a good result of the march of technology but also made of organic ingredients in high sanitary factories, which culminates in a sharp rise in imported food consumption. Secondly, people nowadays develop a fascination with international food items as they find them surprisingly appealing. They are really keen to try a wide range of different cuisine and therefore, an increasing number of exotic foodstalls are now available to the public.

In order to tackle the inequality between foods made locally and from oversees, several measures should be introduced. Each domestic food business should release as many advertisements as possible in various ways, from showing foodstuffs on TV or displaying them on the streets for the customers to try directly. Once we have succeeded in bringing the food images to the public, our next step should be to enhance their standards. It is vital for the government to invest more money on modern and labour-saving machines as well as fresh ingredients to make sure that the products have pleasant tastes and pose no risk to human health. Thus, the locals would be encouraged to experience their home country’s cuisine.

In conclusion, some effective remedies should be taken to deal with the certain drawbacks of the raise in imported food consumerism.
