Do you think the following sentences are correct?

Further to our conversation last week regarding my childcare issues, please note my wife will be working this Saturday. Therefore, I will be staying home to look after the kids.

I mentioned to you that I would like to take two Saturdays off every month as unpaid leave, but you told me to email you and copy in Lynne Taylor.
