follow/example

Is it correct to say "we follow her as an example. I think it is awkward, isn't it?

Top answer

" You could also say something like "she sets a good example". Although it may be done, I hesitate to make a person the example rather than the person's actions.

More common is "follow her example." You could also say something like "she sets a good example". Although it may be done, I hesitate to make a person the example rather than the person's actions.

thank philip.
you mean to say "we follow her good deeds as an example" is rather sound then the one mentioned earlier. Or would you use both the words, follow and example, in a single sentence?
