Folks, please check my motivation letter

I am applying to the internship program in the field of Finance, Financial Mathematics, Accounting, Banking, Insurance because I am committed to become a professional at the area of finance. Since the beginning of my studying at the University I have an inclination toward learning of finance, investment and business valuation and have significant achievements in this area. I was combining doing well academically, pursuing my Bachelor’s degree at Economy of Enterprise, with attending different extracurricular courses on finance, taxation, IFRS, provided by the Big Four companies. Last spring I assembled a team of three members to take part in DFG Business Game in Finance Modeling and in final round we were among 3 best teams in Ukraine.
I always believed that academic studies should go hand in hand with practice and there is no better way to learn something that practicing it. Last summer I was chosen to pursue internship at Financial Service department at ABC. During internship I was dealing with banks and insurance companies, ensuring cash flow forecasts. This experience makes me sure, that financial management is my vocation. Moreover, since I had previously worked for Ukrainian company, I realized the differences in management approaches. I was delighted with clear and concise organization of working process, alignment of functions and high collaboration between colleagues at ABC.
After finishing my internship I have returned to my master studies and decided to make a master thesis research on the basis of ABC Company. CFO of the company has shown interest in my work and suggested me to highlight urgent problem of financing of investment projects in Ukraine. Now I am working on this investigation with enormous passion, since I know that results of my work will mater both in theoretical and practical aspects. My research includes comparison of approaches in project financing adopted by Ukrainian and German companies, so this internship will be extremely valuable for me, since I will have an opportunity to get an outward glance on German business practice and get a feedbacks on my research from the German professionals. This is one of the reasons why I aspire to pass the internship.
The second reason is to enhance my professional background for a future career as a financial manager at the international industry company. To achieve this goal I need strong practical background and developed professional network. I hope working at one of German companies will enable me with opportunity to acquire cutting-edge approaches in corporate finance, assimilate managing culture of your country and meet interesting people.
Why I am a suitable candidate for this internship? There are several reasons stated below:
- I am motivated for active learning and assimilation of new skills. My moto is “ Every new day be better that yesterday”
- I am a valuable asset for a company, since my personal traits, such as amenability, diligence and devotion to the work, always help me to achieve goals
- I am cooperative and open for new acquaintances. I maintain an associations with my colleagues from Siemens and stay in contact with people all over the world, which I have met during volunteer work as a coordinator of International championship in strategic management (GMC, 2012)
Thus, this internship program will be important milestone in my life and give me a priceless experience, which I will apply at my future career.
