Fly/Zipper/zip undone

Can anybody tell me please, what's the difference between Zipper/zip is undone and Fly is undone ?

Hi, Sometimes there is no difference. But, zippers are not just used for a fly. My leather jacket has a zipper, and right now that zipper is undone, but my fly isn't.

Hi,

Sometimes there is no difference.

But, zippers are not just used for a fly. My leather jacket has a zipper, and right now that zipper is undone, but my fly isn't.

Just to make it perfectly clear -- the fly is the opening in a pair of (men's) pants. Usually it opens and closes with a zipper, but old-fashioned pants might have buttons instead. Zippers can be used in many other places. If the zipper on the back of a lady's dress is undone, you would not tell her that her fly was undone.
