Flyover

How do we say when we want to convey to someone that we are not using / taking / going over the flyover, rather we are using the non-elevated usual road.
I am going under / below the flyover?? but I am not exactly under. How shall we say? Which is right - below or under?
Secondly, there are two ways. Either go over the flyover or take the "non-elevated" road? What do we call the road just under the flyover?
definitely not lowered because it hasn't been lowered, the flyover has been constructed above it.
Thanks

In what country is the term "flyover" used in this context? In the US, we call that an "overpass," if I follow your meaning correctly. Is one perpendicular to the other, or parallel to it?

  • I've seen "bypass" (limited access) highways in urban areas which are elevated, and directly over the main highway (and parallel to it).
