Do these sentences sound OK and have the same meaning?

They are quite understandable, and more or less correct grammatically, except for the third one, which is very awkward. However, none of the sentences is really fluent - the word "they" is awkwardly positioned in all of them and might be considered rather ambiguous. I would revise them all to be:

I teach a beginning English class and find myself unconsciously influenced by the halting w

It has a misplaced "because" clause. The reason why (the "because") normally goes after the situation you're giving an explanation for. Thus, the second sentence risks saying:


I teach English in the class for beginners because I am influenced by the way they speak.
