Fluent in English. Is it possible?
Hi!
There is one thing that I have been wondering, is there really possible to become fluent in english, I mean pretty close to fluent as a native english speaker?
I have been learning english for real since I was 20 years old. I have been living in the US for 3 years now and speak english quite well. I watch a lot of movies and read some books and have conversations with other english speakers. I can hold conversations with english speakers, but if they want to talk about more advanced stuff I really don't know what to say.
So, for a person like me who is really trying to learn more english, is it possible for me to become pretty close to fluent in english as a native speaker if I continue to surround myself with other english speakers?

When you say 'fluent', it sounds like you mean 'having a large vocabulary'. Is that right, or do you mean that you want a native accent? Both are certainly attainable, and I have met non-native speakers with both.
