Flower

Hi.

What do we call man-made flowers?

I can think of phrases like artificial flowers, man-made flowers, fake flowers, decorative flowers.

But I don't know which one is the right term.

I am looking for thoes flowers that sometimes are used a decoration for houses and sometimes are kept in a vase.

Furthermore, what is the opposite of that? Is it called natural flower?

Thank you very much in advance

Hi;

I say "artificial flowers" (made from plastic) or "silk flowers" (made from silk).

I call the real ones "flowers."

If the "natural" flowers are cut, I'd call them "fresh flowers."

"Artificial Flowers" is actually a standard popular song. I believe Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin recorded it.
