You might want to consider rewording your question. There are many words used in those sentences!

Normally whenever i talk to beginners(people who've just started learning English), I use "floors" instead of "stories" because they often tend to misinterpret that word. For example "How many stories does the Empire state building have?" maybe interpreted as "How many stories are there about the Empire state building?"
