Can I say,

(a) There were many floats and procession in the stadium.

(b) When the flag float came, they felt proud.

(c) They saw the float parade on (the) television. (Why can't use article?)

Do you mean, British English is "on the television"?

We say both "on television" and "on the television".

"The parade was shown on television"
"We watched the parade on television / on the television."

It will depend on whether the reference is to television in general or the television [set] sitting in the room.
