flip out

Hi,
I would appreciate it if you could explain the meanings of this phrasal verb: Flip out

Flip out means, get angry, get excited, delighted, and the name of a Motorola phone and name of series. I could quite understand the meaning, but I am not sure about using it. Could you please explain the meanings and usage of each of them in its right places.

I looked up it both in dictionaries and Google, but I didn't figured out how and when use it, so I am asking for explanation. I wondered why the phone's name is FlipOut? Or the name of the series, just to clear what I meant up.
