Hello

'A flaw of mine is...'

'The flaw of mine is...'

Which sentence is correct ?? The one with 'a' or 'the' ??

Thanx in advance

It depends on what you want to say. "A flaw of mine" means "one of my flaws", so it implies you have some others. I've never heard "the flaw of mine", but "that flaw of mine" refers to the "flaw of yours" you've just mentioned.

It sounds weird... Why not just say "I have a flaw: ...", "my worst flaw is..." ?

(You're lucky if you have only one! Emotion: sad )
