Flashcard apps

Hi guys!
I know some ESL teachers use mobile apps containing flashcards for teaching advanced topics like phrasal verbs, idioms, etc.
Does anybody use them in a classroom? Are they really helpful?

I am using one from the AppStore called Flash Cards and to me, it is very helpful! After each card, you can rate whether you guessed right or wrong so that it can create a schedule by itself. The mistaken ones are shown more frequently than the ones you know better.
