Fixing fragments and run on sentences

I am taking a class in summer school, so is Joanna.

So I have 2 possible answers but I am not sure:

1) I am taking a class in summer school; Joanna is taking a class as well.
2) I am taking a class in summer school, and so is Joanna.

I would rather be outside, the warm weather is so inviting.

1) I would rather be outside; the warm weather is so inviting.
2) I would rather be outside. The warm weather is so inviting.

Thanks
