shravanmm I thought it will be cured but it didn't cure.I think that this one should be, "I thought it would be cured, but it wasn't. Presumably 'it' is a sick animal. Another possibility is that 'it' is a medicine: "I thought it would cure him, but it didn't (cure him)".
