Fix or Mend clothes?

In an everyday conversation, what do natives normally say?

To fix* clothes or To *mend clothes?
Is mend too formal in the sentence below?

She asked me if I could fix her jacket for her, since there is a hole in the sleeve.

Thank you.

Both "fix" and "mend" are appropriate.

Occasionally, "fix your clothes" means to neaten your appearance by adjusting what you're wearing.

In my experience, yes.

A brief online look says "mend clothes" beats "fix clothes," but "fix your clothes" bests "mend your clothes."

My position is a firm don't know.
