Good afternoon!
I am Andrew Jung who works for an international trading agent in Korea.
I have a question as above subject. My client just notified that the machine that we had sold to them is out of order now. So, they request us to fix the machine. In this point, one question arose in my mind.
- To fix the machine? or fix the problem?
- To repair the machine? or repair the problem?
I am not a native English speacker, so I am not confident to choose which one is the most proper among those.
Thank you for your response in advance.

Hello. The problem is with the machine, so you would be fixing both the problem and the machine.

Your problem will be solved when you fix, repair or replace the broken machine.
