How would you phrase?
Would you say "fit the shape of" ?
Would you say fingers or hands?
Is it correct to "cut something out of something"?
Would you say from or out of?

Gloves are designed to fit the shape of your fingers/hands so why would you cut a pair of gloves from/out of socks.
