0In the UK we still call them fishmongers. It is an old word,and there are not a lot of 'mongers' words that are still used, but it hasn't been replaced by a new word. 0-

0No, a fishmongers is a whole shop just selling fish. In a supermarket you usually call it the 'fish counter'.02br

00Ironmonger - sold all sorts of useful household bits and pieces, like buckets, nails and screws, sink plungers, odds and ends of tools and equipment and 'stuff' that you need but isn't furniture. I guess they used to be mainly metal things like cooking pot
