Fish or Fishes

Hello trainers,
I am confused about fish or fishes please help me.

for example I am drawing two fish on a chart.and I have to colour them differently but both are from same species so in this case i should write only Fish or Fishes to mention them.

Thanks.

As a general guideline, I always say 'Use fish as the plural of fish . You will always be right'. In some contexts, people will think 'I'd have said fishes instead' but fish will never be completely wrong.

You can say "fishes" when you're referring to different species of fish. Otherwise, it's always "fish" as Rover suggested.
