First Question on Forum

Hi there.

Are both punctuated correctly below? If so, which is preferred—the numbers as is or spelled out?

Please, no suggested recasts.

1. The ten-thousand-square-foot to five-million-square-foot building footprints.

2. The 10,000-square-foot to 5-million-square-foot building footprints.

And is #3 below punctuated correctly?

3. The ten-thousand- to five-million-square-foot building footprints.

Much obliged!
