First part or first half?

Hi. Let's say you are going to study Unit 1 of your book for two days. (At the end of the second day, you would have finished studying the entire unit.) Which is the correct way to say it? Thank you in advance for your help.

1. Today I'm going to study the first part of Unit 1 and I'm going to study the second part tomorrow.
2. Today I'm going to study the first half of Unit 1 and I'm going the study the second half tomorrow.

As to what is written in the parentheses, I feel, after reading it a second time, the verb "would have finished" should be "will have finished" or "will finish." Am I correct? Thank you in

'Will have finished' is the appropriate choice, since the premises are that you do so. 'Would have' is conditional.
