first name, second name & given name, christian name

Not sure about the sequence of names and their corresponding relationships.

Is this format correct? given name + middle name + family name

first name + second name + last name

Christian name + given name + surname

What's the counterpart of 'second name'? Christian name or given name or middle name

Diffrerent cultures have different traditions regarding names. There is a thread here from someone in India who was trying to work out what his name would be expressed in a more European way, and because the systems are so completely different, we were not able to work out a definitive answer for him. There had to be a compromise there.

In the UK it is much the same as the US version - al

OK.. First names and middle names are often chosen to "honor" grandparents names. One from the father's side and one from the mother's side. This is not always the case now a days.
