First conditional

Hi, I have a question about first conditional.

The following sentence is in the song of Dido called "Stoned":

"If you won't let me fall for you
Then you won't see the best that I would love to do for you"

Why is there "If you won't let me..." instead of "don't let me"?
Is it correct?
Does it change the meaning?

Thanks.
