First come first serve?

Hi, normally I would say 'first come first served'. However, today a native English speaker wrote this:

There are some Nike hoodies courtesy of Peter by my desk – limited amount so first come, first serve.

Is 'first come first serve' used in the above context correct?

Please help! thanks.

No, it's a mistake (a mishearing/misunderstanding of the expression). It should be "served".
