First clause doesn't go with second

How would you naturally say this please?

- The box is too heavy especially with my broken hand. (seems first part doesn't go with second)

- This is too heavy especially since I have a broken hand. (seems first part doesn't go with second)

How would you properly say this please?

- It's a different brand jam from the one you had yesterday. (how would you naturally say this?)

Thank you

How about: "The box is too heavy for me to lift, especially since one of my hands is broken."

It's a different brand jam from the one you had yesterday.

I see nothing wrong with that.
