Is the use of the word "first" in the following sentence grammatical?

1. Tiffany: Is this the shop where we bought the brolly yesterday?
Samuel: Hmmmm.... maybe, it is. Tell you what, I'll go to the toilet first.

2. Nathaniel: How is it that you weren't able to fill in the form earlier?
Jeri Lee: Let me go in and see your mother first!

Anonymous is wrong. There's nothing remotely rude about either of the replies.

However, both rejoinders are non sequiturs (they've got nothing to do with the previous remarks).

The meaning of brolly can be found in any dictionary.

Brolly appears to be UK slang. Americans never ever use it.
