Firmly believe

Please check out the following sentences. Which is better?

(1) I firmly believe that there will be no success without efforts.
(2) I firmly believe that if you dont' work hard, you will not be sccessful.

Hi, The first sentence could be improved if you said " hard efforts", or " serious efforts". As it stands there is a slight antclimax. I'd choose it over (2) with that addition.

Hi,

The first sentence could be improved if you said "hard efforts", or "serious efforts". As it stands there is a slight antclimax. I'd choose it over (2) with that addition.
