"Doing what?"

Questions:

Is at ok?

Is firm and company used interchangeably?

Is Doing what? and ok question to ask here? And can it both mean what the firm/company does and what I do at the firm/company?

"I work at a firm/company." <<< This is not natural, because it gives so little information. We'd add the name of the company or a few words about it.

eg I work at IBM.

In the US, "firm" is usually used for a group of lawyers who have a partnership and have incorporated.

e.g. a law firm.
