Finnish Folk Song?

awww i loved it Ruslana! but i prefer Finnish metal:) i always say Finland is music paradise!;)

I really liked it at the first time I listened. However,listening half an hour incessantly,it started to **** my mind.The same melody ,the same girl **** it!

I liked it.It is like nursery rhymes.But I could not understand why Janissary listened it for half an hour.

I asked a friend from Finland about your song. Apparently it's a folk song called 'Ievan Polkka'.

But listening to it even she couldn't determine the lyrics in your version. It's been altered for some reason or maybe it's to do with different dialects.

A reply from a Finnish friend of mine:

'The song is "Ievan polkka" by folk music act Loituma (Ieva = dialect form of woman's name Eeva -> Ievan polkka = Eva's Polka). Recorded in late 90's I think. Lord knows how it ended up in that animation, it's a twisted world these days.
