Finishing up a procedure

Later, John and Dr. Riley are finishing up a procedure.

Dr. Riley: There we go. That will take care of it. You may feel a little sore.

Hi,

Is it right to understand the bolded part in the above as "John and Dr. Rilley are about to finish (up) a procedure? "Up" in this context is optional, right?

Besides, does "there we go" refer to "we're done?"

Last, is it correct to interpret the italic part as "that treatment will solve your problem (toothache?")
