Vocabulary

finish (with/by)

Hello,

can you please advise what preposition should be used in this sentence?

The teacher finished the class with/by summerising the main points.

Or maybe I should drop the preposition? What if a noun is used instead of a verb?

The teacher finished the class with a few remarks.

Thank you
