Finish up finish off drink up eat up

Hi teachers~

I have two questions.

1. I am wondering if I understand these correctly.

Finish up and finish off cand be used for both food and drinks. Only difference is Finish up(Am.E) and Finish off (Br.E)

Ex) Hurry. Finish off(up) your meal(or drink).

Drink up can only be for drinks(or beverages)

Eat up can only be used for food.

I am teaching American English so I would appreciate it if you let me know which is American ecpression.

2. This might not be the right place to ask but I don't know where else to ask. I have uploaded a question about 'the difference between check on sb and check up on sb' before without logging in and I have uploaded again the same question after logging in.

I haven't got any answer and I don't know how to find the answer. Is there anyone who can help me with that?

Thank you~~~
