Is an extra hyphen required after "pound" and "foot" below? Or are these OK as presented?

I have seen these variations:

1) a 14-pound 11-ounce package
2) a 14-pound-11-ounce package (This one looks stylistically ugly to me.)
3) a 14-pound, 11-ounce package (This one seems the clearest to me.)
