Finding the subject in the following sentence.

Please look at this following sentence.

"At the marketing seminar, the presentations of the various new products were similar, conforming to a standard format."

I think its origin sentence is like this.
"At the marketing seminar (where they were) conforming the presentations of the various new products were similar to a standard format."

So, I think the subject of the verb " conforming" is " the marketing seminar", exactly it's "seminar", not "presentations" Am I wrong ? Meanwhile, Someone continues to insist its subject is "the presentations", not "seminar". Who is right ?

Please tell me and why it is right answer. Thank you in advance.
