I think it's B. In my opinion it should be like that:

There remain many reasons for the enmity existing between the two neighboring countries.

Hi. I think B is the answer. It should be replaced by "that exists" or "existing" but I need to write a grammatical reason for my answer. I have no idea what to write or what is the name of the Grammatical Rule associated with this question.

AnonymousLook up in a good grammar book the following points : "that (relative pronoun)" and "a relative clause replaced by a participle". Note that the "that exists" is a relative clause which can be replaced by the participle "existing".
