finding a word

I'm looking for a word in English which describes ''To want the best for someone''.
Just to be more specific, the meaning I'm looking for is like when one really care for another and is wanting the best for her or him.
It's more of a feeling than an action like actually praying for someone or wishing him well.

I don't mind if it's an archaic term.
thanks everyone.

I cannot think of such a word, only the phrase 'to wish someone well', but that may not be strong enough for your purpose.

These are wishes for someone to succeed and flourish in life:

"Live long and prosper."
"Have an abundant and rich life."
