"Find the attached CV " - correct or not ?

Hello, I wud like to know if this sentence is correct grammatically correct-
"Find the attached CV ", though it is in use widely, it sounds an oxymoron to me. How come we find a thing, the place of which is already mentioned. If I already know the CV is attached then where else to find? If I say " find the CV" then I dont know where the CV is, hence I will find it everywhere including the attachments. But if I mention it clearly that the CV THAT IS ATTACHED, then why do I need to find it ?

Another example-
Find the car outside ( any car around you)
Find the parked car outside ( only the car that is parked outside )

" This is short for "Please find attached to this letter (or email) my curriculum vitae (resumé in the US). In an email, this sentence alerts the receiver to a file attachment that could possibly be overlooked if not paying close attention. In a paper letter, I agree that it's a bit silly because the CV is right there in front of your eyes, attached to the sheet itself.
