Find out what's a missed call about
I missed a call and would like to call back to find out what's that about. Could you tell me what shall I say in these situations?
1. I have to leave a message on the machine. In this case, can I say something like this:
Hello. My name is xxx xxx. My telephone number is xxxxxxxx. Yesterday afternoon 14 December, I missed a call from this number. I was just wondering, if you were the person who called me on purpose, would you please call me back any time at your convenience. Thank you. Bye.
2. The person pick up the phone, what shall I say in this situation?
