Finchish

I was watching a football match when a player scored a long distance goal and the commentator described the goal as finchish
what does that mean? I am not sure the spelling is right.
Thanks in advance.

As spelled, that's not a word. I can't think of a suitable word that sounds like that. Clive

Could there be a footballer called Finch who is known for his ability to kick this sort of goal?

Good question.

Or a bird with uncanny soccer skills?

Roy Finch in Oklahoma? Could be.

I think the original post was about soccer, not American football.

A different Finch then.

As far as I know, Finch is not a player's name. The commentator just said, 'that's finchish'
I tried to google it but couldn't find it. I am sure I heard it right because he said it twice.

I guess you had to be there. Emotion: sad
