I was disqualified for my federal financial due to dropping classes that caused me to be under the required 24 credit hours required for the academic year.
In order to complete my bachelor degree (I have 10 more classes) I need financial aid, without it I cannot afford to go to school. I am 52 years old and employed full time. The last few years have been very emotionally upsetting beginning with the death of my mother in 2006 due to subdural hematoma. I had been my mothers caretaker for 20 years and became deeply depressed due to the circumstances regarding her death. I let myself become overwhelmed, at work, at home and with school. My sister, who lives with me has now become ill and I am now her caretaker, which added more to my feeling of being overwhelmed and I fell behind on school work which resulted in my withdrawing from the classes. I have no idea how to write an appeal letter that will be successful and could use any help you can offer.
Thank you,
Mary
