Film summary: the Pearl Harbor please review my essay

The main narrative revolves around two best friends Rafe and Danny, the beginning of the movie recounts the beautiful childhood of those two boys in an idyllic village in Tennessee. And then they grow into mature and handsome pilots. Rafe comes over as reckless and gallant, while Danny is a bit shyer. The fliers soon meet their female counterparts, one of these is Evelyn who falls head over heels with Rafe after meeting during a physical test. Even though Rafe has some sort of visual impairment, making him unable to sort out the letters on the eye chart. But after talking with him, understanding more about his personality and his own flying skills, she finally passes him and also has a crush on him. After that, Rafe and Evelyn start dating. However, as soon as Evelyn finds out that Rafe is going to join the Eagle Squadron and is leaving the next day, she’s just dumbfounded as attending to the Eagle Squadron means that he would die sooner or later. And a few months later, during his mission, Rafe is reported to be shot down and presumed to be killed. Evelyn mourns his death, she is just devastated. At that time, only Danny is the one who can console her. This gradually makes Evelyn and Danny become closer and closer, and as you can guess they start dating. Interestingly enough, Rafe is actually still alive, and one night he comes over Evelyn’s house and discovers that his girlfriend was cheating on him and his so-called best friend was betraying him. This enrages him to the core, then both best friends get into a serious fight. The story then turns to a completely different point, when the Japanese navy attacks Pearl Harbor. It is a bloody and cruel assault. The US navy has lost thousands of soldiers and civilians. Later, both Danny and Rafe are assigned to a mission, to bomb Tokyo. The mission is successful, but Danny and Rafe’s plane crashes. They are surrounded by Japanese soldiers. A gunfight ensues, and Danny is seriously wounded protecting Rafe. Rafe tearfully tells Danny that Evelyn is pregnant with Danny's child. With last breath, Danny says it is Rafe’s child now. After the war, Rafe and Evelyn are married and their son name is also Danny
