fill somebody in on one's process?

Given this situation that I am applying for a school degree, two other people I know are also applying for the same degree (but different schools) and probably have already received their invitation packet. Then someone else asked me if I could fill them in on my process. So what does “fill them in on my process” mean?

Also what does the invitation packet mean?
Thanks!

Hi fraserpan,

To fill someone in means to give that person information, often with the sense that that person missed part of the infomation by not being present or coming in to a process late. For example, three friends are supposed to meet, but one is late - she joins them and says "What have you been talking about? Fill me in!"

Your process is simply what you had to go t
