Figure of Speech?

I wrote the sentence

We laughed about our endeavours last night.

I used endeavour here referring to a night out with friends.

Is it a figure of speech then? and what kind? because my teacher made a note sying I used it in the wrong term.

-thanks

It's not a figure of speech but your teacher is right. You probably meant "activities" or maybe "antics" if you want to make a little fun of yourself.
