I would not call "posture" a synonym of "figure." Posture is how a person carries themselves - (e.g. they sit up straight, and walk with their back straight and head held high). If a person has bad posture, sometimes it is call "slouching." My mother always told me: Don't slouch! Sit up straight!

Models have to have good posture. They usually have a very thin figure.
