Fi,fo,fee

Hi everybody...can you help me find out the meaning of these words, I heard them in a movie Father playing hide and seek with the kids. Are they numbers, I don´t know ??

They're nonsense. They don't mean anything.

Sounds kind of like the verse from "Jack and the Beanstalk": "Fee Fi Fo Fum, I smell the blood of an Englishman!"

Cf. the version in King Lear, III iv: "Fie, foh, and fum, I smell the blood of a British man". It would not surprise me to discover they were counting rhymes.
